Job Overview
We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with infants (ages 0–24 months), understands infant development, and is committed to providing a safe, responsive, and engaging learning environment that supports each child's individual growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, responsive care that supports infants' physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on each child's individual needs and interests.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families.
- Complete daily observations and communicate children's routines, milestones, and progress with parents.
- Follow safe sleep practices, diapering procedures, feeding schedules, and health and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators to create a positive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records and classroom documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, including:
- 3 semester units in Infant/Toddler Care (required)
- Minimum 6 months of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed child care center or comparable setting preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with infants throughout the day.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.
- Familiarity with California Licensing regulations and Title 22 requirements.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- No evenings
- No weekends
Required Education
- 12 ECE semester units required, including 3 Infant/Toddler units.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
