SAN GABRIEL MISSION PLAYHOUSESTAGE RIGGER / FLYMANTHE OPPORTUNITYThe City of San Gabriel Mission Playhouse has an exciting opportunity for Stage Rigger / Flyman. Stage Riggers must have journey-level knowledge and experience with the planning, coordination, and set-up of rigging equipment and fly systems used for stage events. Stage Riggers must also have a strong work ethic and customer service skills, communicate effectively with others, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Stage Riggers are required to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and on short notice. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Under the supervision of the Playhouse BOH Coordinator and/or the Assistant BOH Coordinator, the Stage Rigger coordinates and/or directs the safe delivery, setup, installation, use, maintenance and dismantling of rigging equipment and fly systems used for stage events. This position is also responsible for making final safety-related decisions, maintaining equipment, coordinating staff, and other related duties. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION SPECIAL PROVISIONS
Bilingual Pay - Bilingual pay of $0.58 per hour may be provided to employees who pass a proficiency examination in a second language such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Spanish. Bilingual pay shall be provided based on the need of the department and approval of the City. Eligibility and need will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
PARS Program - Part-Time Employees are required to participate in the Public Retirement Services (PARS) retirement savings/investment program in-lieu of Social Security. Funds are transferable upon separation or retirement.
