The primary role of Mechanical Technician is to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing and plant equipment in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manner. This role will support production operations by performing preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment overhauls, troubleshooting, fabrication, and continuous improvement activities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical failures and equipment performance issues.

Repair, replace, and rebuild pumps, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, seals, conveyors, motors, fans, and other production equipment.

Operate machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and related tools.

Fabricate and repair parts using welding and metalworking equipment.
-
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
-
Enter work order information, labor hours, and equipment history into SAP Maintenance Management System.

Maintain maintenance procedures, manuals, and records.
-
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
-
Work effectively with electrical and instrumentation technicians.
-
Train and mentor less experienced technicians when required.

High school diploma or GED.
-
Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.

Basic computer skills.

Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or related field.

Experience with SAP Maintenance Management Systems.

Experience operating machine shop equipment.
-
Multi-craft maintenance experience.
Candidates should possess experience in several of the following areas:

Sheet metal work

Precision alignment

Equipment rebuilding

Mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Required or ability to obtain:

Confined Space Entry and Lock out/Tag out

Mobile equipment certification (forklift, pallet jack, Scissor lift, JLG, etc.)
