Summary:
The Director, National Business Development is responsible for managing the sales functions as it relates to closing, developing and managing current and prospective accounts as well as personally sell from a top down (IDN) multi hospital level. This role will also participate in budgeting, forecasting and other management responsibilities as well as oversee the education programs for our staff, consultants and customers.
Finally, this role will help develop, manage and execute our North American sales strategy as a hands-on, innovative sales leader.
Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize IDN Executive Network to expose business leaders to Plasma Surgical technology driving business from a top-down perspective. Build a close relationship with a network of key opinion leaders throughout the North America across a broad range of surgical specialties. Appoint, maintain, and foster relationships with distributors in US to meet and exceed sales forecasts.
- Assist in designing and executing effective sales and execution strategies for North America, including pricing and profitability to achieve sales targets and company growth objectives. Develop sales forecasts by regions on a 12-month rolling basis and monitor sales performance on a continual basis. Manage the sales process of organizing key surgical exhibitions throughout the territories.
- Recruit, manage and motivate a direct sales and clinical team in the USA as planned.
- Develop programs to ensure that customers receive the proper training on the Plasma Surgical product upon installation of a unit and ensure that the sales team maintains a high profile within established accounts.
- Maintain post market surveillance and advise senior management and Regulatory Affairs with customer feedback, comments on the present product line, and possible product improvements and/or changes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
a) Bachelor’s degree level education; ideally with a business, sales management, or marketing concentration. BSN certification highly desired.
b) Sound experience of 10 plus years in clinical or sales management in a medical device company, including familiarity and the practice of managing direct sales personnel and independent medical device distributors. Experience in surgical system sales would be an advantage.
c) Must maintain credentialing requirements as required by client hospitals.
d) Ability to travel worldwide to fulfil responsibilities in each of the countries in which the company operates.
e) Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately verbally and in writing, clearly articulating position or value proposition. Awareness and experience on a clinical level to communicate effectively with key opinion-leader surgeons.
f) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
g) Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach. Excellent communications skills and appropriate patience to effectively train and motivate sales staff to fulfil sales activities requirements. Willingness to work with small teams in growing the sales and marketing organization.
h) Ability to effectively use MS Office and sales management applications.

Pay: From $145,000.00 per year
