Duties
- Operate large-format printers, flexo presses, digital printers, and screen printing equipment with precision and efficiency.
- Adjust industrial equipment settings to optimize print quality and color accuracy using advanced prepress software and color management techniques.
- Interpret production documents and layout designs to ensure accurate reproduction of graphics, typography, and images.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical adjustments on press machinery to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operation.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process, identifying and correcting issues related to color consistency, registration, and material handling.
- Manage paper cutting, binding, and finishing processes such as trimming and folding to prepare final products for delivery.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and prepress teams to review files created in Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software for print readiness.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color management principles and experience working with graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in operating various printing presses including large-format printers, flexo presses, digital printers, and screen printing equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge for adjusting industrial equipment and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Ability to interpret complex production documents and layout designs accurately.
- Skilled in quality control practices to ensure high standards in print advertising materials.
- Familiarity with prepress processes including file preparation using prepress software.
- Excellent technical proficiency in machine operation, machining, and troubleshooting printing equipment issues.
- Understanding of typography, layout design, cutting techniques, paper binding, and finishing processes for comprehensive print production.
