American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a NC or compact RN license.

Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit
-
Patient population includes acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
-
Diagnoses include acute/chronic respiratory illness, post-op general surgery, post-op GYN surgery, post-op total knee and hip replacements, orthopedics, acute and chronic pain, active GI bleeding, CHF/pulmonary edema, diabetes (hyper/hypoglycemic conditions), renal failure, drug overdose, CIWA score below 7, suicidal ideation, arrhythmia, radioactive therapy, uncontrolled or new-onset seizures, and stable COVID

IV drips administered on this unit include Heparin and TNA

Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Schedule is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Every other weekend rotation required

Holiday coverage required as needed

Floating between all health system facilities is required for all travelers

Active NC or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Med/Surg Tele and Telemetry experience required

Epic EMR experience is mandatory
-
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
-
Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
-
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
-
All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance

Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
