Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team! Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all cookware, utensils, glassware, and dinnerware are cleaned to sanitation standards
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures meticulously to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup for meal service
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing used dishware, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle manual cleaning tasks such as scrubbing pots, pans, and kitchen surfaces to uphold sanitation standards
- Maintain proper storage of clean dishes and kitchen tools, organizing supplies for easy access during busy service hours
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper knife skills when handling food or equipment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Experience operating commercial dishwashing or kitchen equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures safe working conditions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large pots, trays, or supplies
- Prior banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong manual handling skills combined with attention to detail will help ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and safety
