Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service within our healthcare facility. The Dietary Aide will play a vital role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety, and delivering meals to patients. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and nutrition while working collaboratively with kitchen staff and healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas.
- Support the culinary team
- Deliver meals to patients in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to dietary restrictions.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages or issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all dietary needs are met effectively.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures related to food service and safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietetics, food preparation, or culinary arts is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and other departments.
- A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Ability to work as part of a team within the dietary department while also being self-motivated.
