Bartender / Server
Full-Time or Part-Time
Kedai Makan – Capitol Hill, Seattle
Kedai Makan is a full-service Malaysian restaurant and bar looking for friendly, hospitality-driven Bartender/Servers to join our team.
Previous bartending or serving experience is a plus, but not required. We're happy to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.
This is a cross-trained position where you'll gain experience in multiple front-of-house roles, including:
- Serving
- Bartending
- Barbacking
- Food Running
- Bussing
- Hosting
Schedule
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Full-time and part-time positions available
Compensation
All team members begin at a base wage of $21.30/hour and participate in our service charge pool.
Guaranteed minimum hourly earnings (including base pay, overtime, and service charge):
- Staff 1 – Bartender/Server in Training: $23.50/hour
- Staff 2 – Trained Bartender/Server: $26.50/hour
- Staff 3 – Lead Bartender/Server: $28.50/hour
- Staff 4 – Floor Shift Lead: $30.50/hour
Advancement is based on training completion, performance, and leadership.

What You'll Do
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Take food and beverage orders
- Maintain a clean, organized dining room and bar
- Support teammates during busy service
- Learn and rotate through multiple front-of-house positions
