Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal.
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain pristine flooring surfaces.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs to ensure facility upkeep.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Support general facilities maintenance including basic painting, sanitation procedures, and industrial cleaning when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff or visitors for cleaning or maintenance assistance.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices; physically fit for manual handling tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Customer service oriented with effective communication skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
