Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Horno de Pan y Mantenimiento (Bread Oven and Maintenance Technician) to join our dynamic team. This vital role combines hands-on bread baking with comprehensive maintenance responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our bakery facilities. Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee the bread oven, ensuring optimal baking conditions and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on bakery equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Perform welding, electrical repairs, and troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC systems, and structural repairs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule repairs efficiently.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during repair or installation projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Execute residential painting or surface finishing tasks as needed for facility upkeep or improvements.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical issues accurately.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance procedures, inspections, and repairs for accountability and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or bakery environments with hands-on knowledge of bread oven operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and diagnostic tools like ohmmeters effectively.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance including welding, electrical repairs, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building upkeep.
- Supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance teams or contractors is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills to coordinate effectively with production staff and external vendors.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
