Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS and relay orders efficiently to kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and wine with precision
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, menu items, and beverage options to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, for order entry and sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Experience with cocktail preparation, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and beverage service is a plus
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
