Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced CNA/PCA to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, feeding, laundry, cleaning, and light housekeeping to promote a safe and comfortable environment
- Observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior related to dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments; report findings promptly to supervising staff
- Maintain patient safety by practicing proper patient transfer techniques and utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods; ensure compliance with safety protocols including first aid and CPR when necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clarity about care plans and patient needs
Experience
- Proven experience working as a CNA or PCA in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions including Alzheimer’s disease and memory care needs
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Prior experience assisting with ADLs in geriatric or hospice care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of home health care regulations and best practices for senior care and hospice services
- Certification in CPR/First Aid required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred
- Certified CNA/PCA
