Position Overview
As a Mobile Pet Groomer, you will provide high-quality grooming services in a fully equipped mobile grooming unit. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can safely operate a larger grooming van or truck and trailer while maintaining exceptional care for pets and outstanding communication with clients.
Responsibilities
Perform professional grooming services including:
Bathing
Haircuts and breed-specific trims
De-shedding treatments
Nail trimming and grinding
Ear cleaning
Sanitary trims
Assess coat and skin condition and recommend appropriate services.
Safely handle pets of various sizes, breeds, temperaments, and grooming needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment inside the mobile unit.
Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming expectations, recommendations, and pet care concerns.
Manage daily appointment schedules and stay on time.
Document services performed and maintain accurate client records.
Conduct daily inspections of equipment and grooming tools.
Follow all safety protocols and animal handling standards.
Represent the company professionally while working in clients' neighborhoods and communities.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years professional pet grooming experience preferred.
Ability to complete full grooms independently from start to finish.
Strong knowledge of breed standards and pet styling techniques.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a mobile environment.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Driving Requirements
Valid driver's license.
Clean driving record required.
Comfortable operating a large grooming van or truck and trailer combination.
Ability to safely maneuver and park larger vehicles in residential and commercial areas.
Must meet company insurance requirements for vehicle operation.
