Food Service Specialist - 3 Hrs/Day - Sea Road or Kennebunkport Consolidated School
Reports to: Food Service Manager
Pay Range: $19.48 to $22.91 FY 27 non-union wage scale
Position Summary: As a Food Service Specialist, you will assist the Kitchen Manager in providing healthy and nutritious school lunches that meet all state and federal requirements for approved school lunch and à la carte menu offerings. This is a 3-hour per day, school-year position. 2 positions available: 1 at Kennebunkport Consolidated School and 1 at Sea Road School.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Sanitation certification required

Minimum two years of food service experience

Strong organizational skills and ability to meet job demands

Valid DOE fingerprinting certification required

Commitment to providing healthy and nutritious meals to students
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
-
Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen
-
Follow district and school policies, schedules, and operational procedures
-
Prepare food according to planned menus and standardized recipes
-
Ensure food quality in flavor, appearance, and presentation before service

Record food requisitions and maintain accurate meal counts
-
Maintain monthly inventory of food and supplies
-
Verify and sign invoices upon delivery confirmation
Collaboration

Build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community

Collaborate with stakeholders to support high-quality food service operations

Order supplies weekly through the Kitchen Manager

Report food quality issues or concerns to the Kitchen Manager

Report kitchen or cafeteria issues immediately to the Kitchen Manager

Participate in daily cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment and utensils
-
Support special meal functions as needed

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Food Services Director

Terms of Employment: School year position. Salary is established by the Board of School Directors.
