Dental Treatment Coordinator – Full-Time
Location: Rocklin, CA
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)
Compensation: $23-28 per hour, DOE (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary
The Dental Treatment Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily administrative and front-desk functions of the practice. This position plays a critical role in providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth patient check-in/out, and supporting clinical staff with scheduling and communication. Some days may require working beyond normal scheduled business hours based on patient needs and the surgical schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Explain treatment plans, financial options, and insurance coverage
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary pre-authorizations
- Collect co-pays, process payments, and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information
- Communicate effectively with oral surgeon, assistants, and referring offices
- Handle incoming referrals and coordinate with dental/medical offices
- Assist with administrative tasks including faxing, scanning, and correspondence
- Monitor and maintain front office supplies and cleanliness
Work Schedule
- Full-time position (Monday – Friday)
- Work may extend beyond normal scheduled business hours depending on patient flow and surgical needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 year of experience in a dental front office role
- Knowledge of dental or medical terminology and insurance billing practices
- Strong computer skills and experience with dental/medical office software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and comply with HIPAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with practice management software (e.g. OpenDental)
- Familiarity with PPO and medical/dental insurance plans
- Understanding of referral and prior authorization workflows
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit and use a computer/phone for extended periods
- Occasionally lift/move up to 20 lbs
- May be required to assist with light office organization tasks
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $23-28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
