Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our production environment by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks. Your expertise will help maintain optimal equipment performance, safety standards, and facility functionality. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Operate and maintain various industrial tools and equipment such as and other field service vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Assist with electrical work involving low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Support HVAC/R systems maintenance to ensure climate control within the facility meets operational requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime by providing prompt maintenance support and technical advice.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting safety audits regularly.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal teams by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Participate in training sessions to stay current on industry best practices, new technologies, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (including high voltage), and mechanical components.
- Ability to operate industrial measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, precision measuring instruments, and multimeters effectively.
- Ability to operate field service equipment including hammer, screwdrivers(flathead+Phillips), adjusted wrench, pliers, utility knife, tape measure, level, cordless drill/driver, circular saw, jigsaw, oscillating multi-tool, vacumm, plunger, pipe wrench, drain snake/auger, voltage tester etc…
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse teams.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods; lift heavy objects; work at heights; and perform manual tasks safely.
