For more than a decade, we have partnered with hospitals, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, midwives, and family medicine providers throughout Colorado to provide home phototherapy, lactation services, breast pumps, blood pressure monitoring, and other maternal and newborn medical equipment. About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, Spanish-speaking Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our growing Maternal & Newborn Services team.
This position combines direct patient care with care coordination to ensure families receive timely lactation support, breast pumps, and other medically necessary supplies. Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based telehealth lactation consultations, primarily for Spanish-speaking families
- Assess breastfeeding concerns and provide individualized education and support
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Patient Care Coordination
- Schedule virtual and in-person lactation consultations
- Coordinate patient appointments based on clinical urgency
- Communicate professionally with new parents, medical providers, and referral sources
- Conduct follow-up outreach to support successful patient outcomes
Operations & DME Coordination
- Coordinate breast pump and maternity DME orders
- Process documentation, insurance requirements, and order workflows with accuracy
- Assist with Medicaid and commercial insurance billing processes
- Maintain organized electronic records and support operational workflows
QualificationsRequired
- Current CLC or IBCLC credential
- Fluent Spanish and English
- Experience providing lactation support
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive)
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience
- Experience working with Medicaid populations
- Experience in maternal-child health
- Experience with DME, medical office operations, or care coordination
Physical Requirements
For team members working in the office, occasional lifting of medical equipment and supplies (up to 50 pounds) may be required.
