Job Title: Quality Inspector
Department: Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Reports To: Quality Supervisor
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting inbound raw materials and outbound finished products to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. This role also performs additional inspections related to pest control findings, customer complaints, or other identified concerns. The Quality Inspector documents all inspection results in Microsoft systems, supports sanitation tasks as needed, participates in team meetings, and provides backup coverage for Quality Technician duties when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. to inspect product contents and verify quality.
- Conduct inspections related to pest control, customer complaints, and other quality concerns.
- Record inspection results, maintain electronic records in Microsoft systems and GFSC, and document non-conformances.
- Monitor food safety and quality practices, supporting sanitation and cleaning verification as needed.
- Communicate quality issues and corrective actions, provide backup for Quality Technicians, and support other quality and food safety activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year of experience in food manufacturing, quality inspection, production, or a related environment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to accurately enter and manage electronic data
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Spanish speaking ability preferred but not required
