Job Summary:
The Service Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and customer success by developing and maintaining a strong pipeline, executing territory sales strategies, and delivering proposals that close business. This role conducts market and territory analysis to identify opportunities, builds relationships with key accounts, and provides accurate sales forecasting to leadership. The sales Representative ensures pipeline discipline through KPI ownership, leads impactful customer meetings and presentations, and supports seamless order conversion from sales to operations. In addition to generating new revenue, this role emphasizes long-term customer retention, growth, and acting as the voice of the customer to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Development – Build and maintain a robust pipeline through prospecting, lead qualification, and proactive outreach.
- Delivering Proposals & Closing Sales – Deliver proposals to customers, negotiate contracts within established guidelines, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Territory Sales Strategy – Develop territory sales management plans in conjunction with leadership and execute on those plans, aligning resources to the highest-potential segments.
- Market & Territory Analysis – Research market trends, competitor activities, and account potential to prioritize efforts and uncover new opportunities.
- Key Account Identification – Partner with sales management to identify and cultivate relationships with high-value prospects and strategic accounts to maximize revenue and growth.
- Sales Forecasting – Deliver accurate, data-driven forecasts and regularly update leadership on pipeline health and expected close dates.
- Sales Meetings & Presentations – Lead compelling customer meetings highlighting GDS services’ features and benefits while positioning for successful closes.
- KPI Ownership – Ensure data accuracy to track and report against agreed performance metrics (win rates, average deal size, sales cycle length, and other KPIs) to ensure accountability.
- Order Conversion –support seamless sales-to-operations conversion.
- Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong sales and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, follow sales processes, and close business.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales-related software applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or equivalent).
- Excellent time management and pipeline management skills, with the ability to prioritize high-value selling activities.
- Capability to work independently to drive results, while also collaborating as part of a regional and cross-functional team (estimating, operations, compliance).
- Strong business acumen and comfort discussing service agreements, preventive maintenance, modernization, and contract renewals.
- Ability to translate technical service offerings into customer value propositions.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, balancing multiple opportunities while maintaining accuracy and consistency in CRM.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is frequently required to move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as copy machines, phones, photocopier, fax machines and computer printers. The staff member in this position frequently communicates internally and externally; must be able to exchange accurate information via phone, email, and/or in person. Specific vision abilities apply including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
This position operates in a clerical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $45,927.22 - $65,000.00 per year
