This is a union position with Operating Engineers Local 3.
The base wage is $41.20/hour with $27.40/hour fringe benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of field notes, layout coordination and calculation sheets.
- Manage survey crews and projects.
- Ability to perform survey field work, and work outside in all weather conditions.
- Coordinate findings of work with construction and engineering personnel, and others concerned with a project.
- Brief project managers on projects as they are being completed.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Five years minimum of field surveying including topography, boundary reconnaissance, and construction staking.
- Familiar with relevant equipment such as Leica, Trimble Robotic Total Station & GPS, digital and conventional levels, and related software applications.
- Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping desirable but not required.
- Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is a plus.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to work safe, independent, and with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Good math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions with the company’s best interest in mind.
- Demonstrate a professional manner while communicating with co-workers and clients.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable at the firm’s standard rates and pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen.
- Willing to travel is a plus.
Pay: $68.60 per hour
