Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality using beverage recipe development skills.
- Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit payments securely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items including fine dining options and craft beers, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all areas of food handling, beverage preparation, and serving stations in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation or cooking when necessary to support kitchen operations during busy periods or banquet events.
- Manage bar inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and support bar management in tracking stock levels to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during catering events or large banquets while demonstrating strong time management skills.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
- Extensive cocktail experience with a strong knowledge of beverage recipes, mixing techniques, and presentation standards.
- Deep understanding of wine varieties, beer styles including brewing processes, and beverage pairing principles.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.
- Experience working in fine dining environments or high-volume food service settings that require attention to detail and professionalism.
- Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of food safety practices including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and allergen awareness.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations for inventory management, and accurate billing procedures.
- Experience with catering or banquet service is a plus for supporting large events seamlessly.
