Job Description:
- Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and company safety requirements
- Obtain daily Hours of Service violation report and confirm against drivers ELD. Follow-up with Transportation Manager and driver when violations are found
- Driver Qualification and Equipment file creation and maintenance
- Take non-DOT accident calls, create accident files and oversee claim until closed. Update non-DOT accident register.
- Confirm roadside inspections via the FMCSA portal weekly
- Schedule drug and alcohol tests and confirm test results via online website
- Update quarterly random controlled substance testing spreadsheet
- Compile quarterly fuel report from EFS and Samsara for quarterly fuel tax filing
- Obtain new IRP registration via DVS website
- Obtain State Permits for new equipment and annually via state websites
- Set up new hire online safety training
- Create Independent Hauling Agreement for new lessee and then annually
- Promotes strong leadership and influences positive employee morale throughout the organization

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in transportation safety and compliance
- Knowledge of DOT & FMCSA Regulations
- Knowledge of the Hours of Service regulations Part 395
- Knowledge of Samsara Electronic Logging Device, not required but desired
- Knowledge of Prorate (commercial registration), not required but desired
- Knowledge of Driver Qualification and Equipment file requirements
- Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills and fluent in Outlook, Word, Excel
- High attention to detail and highly organized and flexible
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks and record-keeping
- Self-motivated with the ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent ethics and integrity
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Professional, positive demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in unpredictable and high-stress situations
- Able to spend long periods working on a computer
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.)
- Class A CDL beneficial but not required
Wage Range: 25.00 - 31.00 per hour
