Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham WA, and we have two year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham and Seattle. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.
Job Description
Summary:
LFS/KFS is looking for an experienced Hydraulic technician to sale, install and service hydraulic systems, steering systems and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

Work with customers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
Provides technical and non-technical support and services to clients regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
Customizes, installs and assembles hydraulic units, parts and motors to meet customer specifications and system requirements.
Inspects hydraulic lines and components to detect leaks, damage, and wear.
Disassembles hydraulic system and removes and replaces defective actuator, pump bearings, pump motor or accumulator.
Replaces worn or damaged hydraulic components such as oil lines, fittings, cylinders, servo-valves, pressure release valves, gaskets, and seals.
Observes operation of hydraulic system to verify proper installation and/or repair.
Combination of technical and trouble shooting skills is crucial.

Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred education and experience
Technical School certificate
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience
Combination of education and experience
Familiarity with Parker products

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
