In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to clients with diverse needs at the end of their lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions regularly, documenting vital signs and changes in health status accurately
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to record medical documentation and update patient records efficiently
- Provide specialized care including Alzheimer's and dementia care, hospice support, catheter care, and memory care as needed
- Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance
Requirements
- Proven experience in home health aid
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or dementia training are a plus
- Ability to work with individuals with patience and empathy
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate record keeping
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Physical ability to perform caregiving duties including lifting using Hoyer lifts, assisting with transfers, and providing mobility support
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Flexibility to work live-in shifts or part-time schedules based on client needs

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
