Duties
- Assist stylists and barbers with client preparation, including shampooing, hair threading, and applying hair extensions or color treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
- Support store management by organizing retail products, handling inventory, and performing retail math to optimize sales opportunities through upselling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly, answering questions about hair care and services, and ensuring a positive salon experience.
- Assist with hair coloring techniques, including applying color theory principles to achieve desired results under supervision.
- Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge of cosmetology practices, sanitation procedures, and client communication strategies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in the beauty industry or a related customer service role is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards specific to salons and barbershops to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Certification or training in cosmetology or barbering is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
