General Description: The Dishwasher / Service Support is an essential part of the Center of Effort Hospitality Team, ensuring smooth back-of-house operations and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and support for hospitality services during weekends. This role primarily focuses on dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, and behind-the-scenes maintenance while also assisting in service preparation for tasting appointments, private dining, and member events. Reliability, attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork are key to success in this position.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Dishwashing & Back-of-House Operations
- Maintain a clean and efficient dishwashing station by washing, sanitizing, and polishing all glassware, dishware, utensils, and cookware.
- Ensure proper storage of all cleaned items, following organization and sanitation standards.
- Monitor and replenish handwash stations, cleaning supplies, and sanitation materials as needed.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with SLO County EHS Food Service Permit requirements and internal sanitation SOPs.
Kitchen & Facility Support
- Keep back-of-house areas organized, clean, and stocked, including prep stations, dish areas, and storage spaces.
- Help set up and break down event spaces, ensuring all back-of-house needs are met for smooth service execution.
- Assist with food prep tasks as directed, such as plating, ingredient organization, or light prep work.
- Support waste management and recycling efforts by properly sorting and disposing of trash and compostable materials.
Hospitality & Guest Experience Support
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of front-of-house areas, including restrooms, guest arrival zones, and dining areas.
- Busing and resetting tables for tasting appointments and member events.
- Support hospitality staff with glassware replenishment and service area reset during events.
Additional Roles & Duties:
- Assist with wine orders, shipments, packaging, and wine club shipments as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned—no task is too big or small.
Position requirements:
- Reliable and available to work regularly on Thursdays and Fridays with the flexibility to work some weekends, evening events and holidays.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with high cleanliness standards.
- Must maintain Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Certification from an accredited source.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and carry loads up to 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
