Job Overview
Richard H Robie Construction is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter/Framer to lead field operations on commercial metal stud framing, drywall and specialty interior projects in southern NH and surrounding areas. The Lead Carpenter/Framer is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily activities, maintaining productivity, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to RHR Construction's quality standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise field crews on multiple commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate daily work activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Subcontractors.
- Plan and assign manpower to maximize productivity and meet project schedules.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scope with field personnel.
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve field issues while communicating project updates to management.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
- Monitor labor productivity and support schedule adherence.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain daily reports, timekeeping, and production documentation.
- Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience leading commercial metal stud framing and drywall crews.
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall and commercial construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews and maintaining project schedules.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Drivers License required
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
