Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise surface preparation, color application, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, masonry work, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, stains, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand tools with precision
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color schemes to accurately execute project requirements
- Use ladders safely and effectively to reach high or hard-to-access areas while adhering to all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols
- Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces such as stucco, masonry, fixtures, and remodeling areas with attention to detail
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects including sanding, patching holes or cracks, and applying primer or sealants as needed
- Assist with industrial painting applications involving coating systems designed for durability in demanding environments
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and cleaning tools after each project
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring safety standards are consistently followed
Skills
- Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and renovation projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment such as ladders
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes related to painting projects
- Knowledge of color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise application
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection and safe handling of hazardous materials
- Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as caulking, stucco repair, masonry work, fixture installation, and remodeling tasks
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities efficiently
- Experience with construction spray painting methods including airless spray systems and coating application techniques
- Handyman experience with miscellaneous tasks like fixture installation or masonry work adds value to the role
