As a Test Harness Engineer, you will create a controlled environment to execute test, validate performance, and troubleshoot, ensure systems meet safety and functional specifications as required by the customers. Maintain documentation on technical procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Will be testing wire harnesses.
- Be able to use a Cirrus machine and such as Easy Wire CH2 or Signature Tough network analysis signal loss, multi-meter, EMI Testing cable loss.
- Be able to select appropriate test equipment for testing purposes.
- Ability to use all electrical meter testing equipment used for testing wire and harnesses.
- Document test results.
- Be able to apply customer test requirements, per specifications.
- Ability to read wire harness diagrams.
- Ability to create BOM’s for test leads.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years testing wire harness using electrical equipment, troubleshooting, and doing analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs,
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid works CAD helpful.
- Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concreate variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to write test procedures/check list.
