Help Wanted! Must Love Veterans! Soul purpose Home Care is now hiring PART-TIME Home Health Aides to help Northern Michigan’s Veterans thrive at home. We proudly support our Country and those that have served to protect it. Soul Purpose Home Care, LLC is looking for team members that understand the struggles that our Veterans face. Training in the areas of PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Chronic pain are a plus. To qualify for this position, you must have at least 1 year of experience as a caregiver, have a clam demeanor, and a willingness to serve those who have laid down their life to protect you and this country. You must be dependable, have reliable transportation, and always have a positive attitude. The ability to leave your problems and issues away from the workplace is essential to this position. We currently have 3 PART-TIME openings that could grow into a FULL-TIME position for the right candidates.

We have openings in the following areas- Kalkaska, Traverse city, Frankfort
We are also looking for a Float Person M-F 25-40 hours per week. $23.50 per hour must be a CNA or M.A
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, documenting vital signs and changes in health status accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Administer medications and treatments following medical guidelines, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care safely while maintaining patient comfort.
- Assist with meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
- Record medical documentation meticulously, including medication administration and patient records, ensuring accuracy for ongoing care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate home & community care plans that meet each patient's unique needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or long-term care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical documentation practices.
- Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) are required; additional certifications like hospice care or dementia training are a plus.
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans; excellent patient observation skills are essential.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.
