Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including handling cocktail and spirits service with professionalism.
- Upsell menu items like wines, specialty cocktails, or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Process cash and card transactions smoothly while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards through proper food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations when needed.
- Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, answering questions about menu items, and addressing concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, beverage service, and cocktail preparation.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to engage guests professionally.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous experience with serving, bussing, cashiering, or host/hostess duties is highly desirable.
