We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Armed Foot Patrol Officer to ensure the safety and security of designated premises through active patrolling and surveillance. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by conducting regular patrols on foot, monitoring access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your expertise in law enforcement, security procedures, and emergency response will be vital in safeguarding personnel, property, and assets. Duties
- Perform thorough foot patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats
- Monitor access control systems to regulate entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and maintain vigilant awareness of surroundings at all times
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, executing appropriate emergency response procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities
- Assist with performing background checks on visitors or contractors as needed
- Utilize security equipment such as Tasers, firearms, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully and maintain order
- Enforce compliance with security regulations and company policies during patrols and interactions
- Support heavy lifting or manual handling tasks related to equipment or incident management
Experience
- Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or private security roles is highly desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques and physical security measures
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and firearm handling preferred
- Knowledge of incident report writing standards and emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks is advantageous
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor during interactions with the public or staff
