Role Overview:
Own the growth of next generation citizen experience solutions across state and large municipal government customers in the Pacific Northwest, driving measurable improvements in how governments serve their constituents. This role directly influences revenue expansion, digital transformation outcomes, and the adoption of AI-powered CX platforms across critical public sector agencies. At Genesys, we are transforming the customer experience landscape with empathy, AI innovation, and global impact, empowering governments to deliver more responsive, efficient, and human-centered services. You will shape territory strategy, build executive relationships, and lead complex enterprise sales cycles that enable mission-critical outcomes for public sector organizations. This position offers visibility with senior leadership, ownership of a high-growth territory, and the opportunity to influence how governments modernize citizen engagement at scale.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive revenue growth and market share across a defined Pacific Northwest territory, expanding adoption of cloud-based CX and AI solutions within state and municipal agencies

Own new logo acquisition strategies that increase Genesys presence across key public sector accounts and accelerate long-term customer value

Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans aligned to revenue targets and broader organizational priorities

Build and deepen executive-level relationships across government stakeholders, influencing digital transformation initiatives and funding priorities

Design and deliver compelling value propositions that align CX and AI capabilities to mission-critical government use cases

Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including procurement navigation, contract negotiations, and regulatory alignment

Collaborate cross-functionally with solution consultants, partners, product teams, and leadership to deliver cohesive go-to-market execution
-
Maintain a robust pipeline exceeding $6M, leveraging MEDPICC methodology to drive forecast accuracy and deal progression

Enable successful customer outcomes by partnering with Customer Success to ensure adoption, expansion, and long-term impact

Represent Genesys as a thought leader in public sector CX and AI, contributing insights internally and externally
Required Qualifications:
-
8+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience with a focus on state and local government customers
-
Demonstrated success exceeding sales quotas in complex, enterprise-level environments
-
Strong relationships with state agency executives across sectors such as healthcare, human services, labor, transportation, or revenue
-
Experience navigating public sector procurement processes, compliance requirements, and contracting frameworks
-
Knowledge of federal and state security frameworks including FedRAMP, IRS Pub 1075, CMS MARS-E, SSA-TSSR, and NIST 800-53

Technical background in contact center technologies, SaaS, IaaS, CPaaS, DBaaS, and AI-driven platforms

Ability to manage and influence partners, consultants, and lobbyists within the public sector ecosystem

Willingness and ability to travel up to 50 percent within the assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience selling cloud-based CX platforms or enterprise software solutions

Familiarity with MEDPICC or similar structured sales methodologies

Residence in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho with proximity to key state government hubs
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$111,700.00 - $196,300.00
