Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fitting processes will ensure the highest quality standards are met for diverse projects, including pipe systems, structural frameworks, and HVAC components.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other techniques to join metals according to blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately assemble components.
- Fit, align, and assemble metal parts utilizing hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring devices such as schematics and templates.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds and fittings to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and other welding methods suitable for various metals.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and pipe threading diagrams.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe fitting, tube bending, soldering, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with construction site work including rigging, pipe installation, HVAC systems, and structural fabrication.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, power tools, pipe benders, soldering irons, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and piping systems.
- Ability to interpret schematics for plumbing or pipeline projects accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
