The Role
AIYA is seeking a Full-Stack / Product Engineer to design, build, and scale production software across our technology platform.
This role is designed for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of meaningful product problems rather than working within a narrowly defined frontend or backend function.
You will work across the full product lifecycle — from product requirements and system architecture to implementation, integration, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization.
You will collaborate closely with product, operations, business, and leadership teams to turn real-world business requirements into reliable, scalable software.
We value engineers who can move comfortably between product thinking and technical execution.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade software products
- Develop modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Build backend services, REST APIs, business logic, and data workflows using Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Java, or comparable technologies
- Design and maintain relational and NoSQL data models
- Build integrations with third-party platforms, APIs, payment systems, authentication providers, and SaaS services
- Develop reliable workflows across commerce, payment, CRM, ordering, and business systems
- Own major product features from technical design through production launch
- Translate business requirements into pragmatic and scalable technical solutions
- Troubleshoot complex issues across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and external integrations
- Improve system performance, reliability, observability, security, and maintainability
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical standards, and engineering best practices
- Create clear technical documentation for systems, APIs, workflows, and deployment processes
- Support and continuously improve production systems after launch
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for engineers who have demonstrated the ability to build and ship real software.
Specific years of experience are less important than the scope, complexity, and ownership of the products you have built.
You should have:
- Strong full-stack software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building and shipping production applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with React or another modern frontend framework
- Experience designing and developing backend APIs and services
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of API design, authentication, data flows, and application architecture
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production operations
- Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas is a strong plus:
- React Native or mobile application development
- AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture
- Payment processing or payment gateway integrations
- SaaS platform development
- CRM systems
- POS platforms
- E-commerce systems
- Online ordering platforms
- Booking and reservation systems
- Membership or subscription platforms
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture
- Identity and authentication systems
- High-volume API integrations
- Business workflow automation
- AI-enabled applications or Agentic AI systems
Experience integrating with platforms such as the following is also valuable:
- Stripe
- Clover
- Shopify
- DoorDash
- Google Maps and Google APIs
- Payment processors and gateways
- Third-party SaaS platforms

A successful engineer in this role should be comfortable owning the full lifecycle:
Business Requirement → Product Design → Technical Architecture → Frontend → Backend → Database → API Integration → Testing → Deployment → Monitoring → Production Support
We value engineers who can take an ambiguous problem, structure it, make sound technical decisions, and deliver a working product.
What Strong Candidates Demonstrate
Strong candidates can clearly explain:
- What products they personally built
- Which technical decisions they owned
- How they designed the architecture
- Which APIs and systems they integrated
- How they deployed and maintained the product
- What production issues they solved
- How their work improved the customer or business outcome
