As a key player in our food processing plant, you will ensure that all food safety standards and manufacturing practices are meticulously followed to produce safe, delicious products. Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain compliance across all food processing activities.
- Oversee sanitation procedures to ensure the cleanliness of equipment, workspaces, and production areas, preventing contamination and ensuring food safety.
- Assist in food production processes, including packaging, ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor and operate machinery with mechanical knowledge to support efficient manufacturing workflows.
- Conduct routine inspections of the food processing plant to uphold sanitation standards and identify potential hazards or deviations from safety protocols.
- Support food safety initiatives by documenting procedures, conducting basic math calculations for measurements, and maintaining accurate records of production activities.
- Operate forklifts safely when required for material handling and inventory management within the facility.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a food industry environment or a food processing plant is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP guidelines, and general food safety practices is essential.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, sanitation protocols, and food processing equipment is advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience operating machinery in a production setting will be beneficial.
- Basic math skills for measurements, quantities, and data recording are necessary.
- Certification in forklift operation is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety standards, and ability to work effectively within a team are key qualities for success in this role.
