Job Overview:
UPA is hiring Utility Field Technicians in the Savannah, GA area to perform utility meter maintenance and upgrades. This is a full-time position with paid training, company equipment, and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Safely install and upgrade utility meters
- Record data accurately using handheld devices
- Communicate clearly with utility customers
- Drive and maintain a company-provided vehicle
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Handle assigned tools, supplies, and equipment responsibly
Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and walk long distances
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Consistent attendance is required
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Must pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening (urinalysis)
- Able to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions
- Experience using electronic handheld devices is a plus
