American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hematology/Oncology Med/Surg position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience in a comparable large-scale hospital setting.

Evening shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

Assignment is approximately 8 weeks in length

Unit 10A is a Hematology/Oncology Medical/Surgical unit
-
Common diagnoses include oncology, step-down care, and high-volume sickle cell cases
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Block scheduling is not approved on most units

Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact state license required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Hematology/Oncology RN experience in a comparable high-volume hospital setting

Chemotherapy certification preferred

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in high-pressure, large-scale, high-acuity environments — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
