As a School Registered Nurse, you will:
- Provide individualized medical, behavioral, and social support to students during classroom activities
- Deliver 1:1 care as directed, assisting with daily routines, classroom transitions, and hands-on participation
- Support students with mobility, personal care, and supervision, ensuring their safety and dignity
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive school environment
- Communicate effectively and document care according to school and nursing protocols
To qualify for this role, you’ll need:
- An active RN license
- At least a high school diploma or GED
- To be 18 years of age or older
- A recent TB test (as required by local guidelines)
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
- Current clearances prior to your start date, or willingness to obtain them
Preferred experience includes work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care. Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges and CPR, G-Tube, or Trach proficiency are valuable, but not required. Reliability, patience, and collaboration are key.
