An onsite Registered Nurse is needed to cover a maternity leave assignment, working full time from 7:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Friday. Key Qualifications:
- Current Connecticut RN license
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in school nursing or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to medical situations
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily health needs and manage acute or chronic conditions for students and staff
- Provide emergency care and administer medications as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student health plans
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment, addressing communicable disease concerns as needed
