This role requires someone who understands the importance of discretion, professionalism, attention to detail, and creating a personalized experience for every patient.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.

Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.

Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.

Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
-
Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.

Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
-
Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
-
Other duties as assigned to the back office.
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.

Medical Assistant training is required.
Qualifications:
Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience are required.
Must have prior Aesthetic experience working in a dermatology medical clinic.

Passion for cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and patient-centered care.

Genuine enthusiasm for learning and staying current with emerging cosmetic treatments, technologies, and skincare products.

Hands-on experience assisting with or supporting aesthetic treatments and procedures, including:

Toskani® treatments

PRFM (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix) procedures

Previous experience in a cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, medical spa, or aesthetic practice strongly preferred.

Knowledge of cosmetic injectables, skincare products, laser treatments, and regenerative aesthetic procedures.

Proven ability to educate patients on treatment options and assist in developing customized treatment plans.

Experience working on electronic medical records.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
