Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Technician Home Based, where you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders through evidence-based behavioral therapy. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote positive behavior change.
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines, fostering independence.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support children’s educational goals by teaching new skills aligned with their care plans and developmental needs.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients’ families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding progress and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical documentation appropriately.
- Document all therapy sessions, behavioral observations, and client interactions meticulously in medical records and reports.
Requirements
Behavior Technician will be offered the free 40 hours training
- Prior experience working with children, especially those with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disabilities, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and implementing ABA therapy protocols.
- Ability to support behavioral health initiatives in a home-based setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients’ families and team members.
- Experience working within special education or school environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to ethical guidelines outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
