Well established company focusing specifically on transportation staffing, seeking an experienced CDL Recruiter for a full-time, on-site role located in our mid-Michigan office to actively manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening and onboarding qualified drivers to meet operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified CDL Drivers.
- Build strong relationships through effective communication and customer service.
- Collaborates closely with operations team to understand staffing requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Process candidates though ATS by screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, assessing candidate qualifications and background screening to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding process to include background screen, pre-employment testing, previous employment verification and document verification.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide regular reports on hiring metrics and candidate pipeline status to management.
- Stay informed of industry trends, labor market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting driver recruitment and retention.
Qualifications
- Proven, demonstrable experience recruiting CDL Commercial Drivers to include sourcing, screening, qualifying and onboarding drivers.
- Strong knowledge of driver qualification requirements, DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to implement Driver Recruiting strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication and Customer Service skills.
- Organization and multi-tasking skills in fast paced environment
- Familiarity with transportation, trucking or logistics industries is preferred
- Proficiency in Applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software and Microsoft Office
- Interview skills to include ability to effectively listen and analyze answers and follow up with appropriate questions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000 - $55,000.00 per year plus commission
