American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a Minnesota RN license for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification.

Work in a 5-bed ICU within an acute care hospital setting
-
2:1 patient-to-RN ratio
-
Day/Night rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts (7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a), with Friday-Sunday rotation
-
36 guaranteed hours per week
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating to Med Surg required
-
Uses Paragon-Hospital and Allscripts Touch Works-Clinics EMR systems
-
Manages cardiac drips including Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and Vasopressors
-
Uses Hamilton C-1 ventilators
-
Tele/monitor techs available on unit
-
Hospitalist in house; RT on call after 6pm with 10-minute response time
-
Pharmacy in house until 10pm, remote coverage after 10pm
-
No dedicated charge nurse; nurse aides available as needed
-
Common patient diagnoses include stroke, STEMI, and non-STEMI cases
-
Active Minnesota RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (AHA)
-
BSN not required
-
Acute care ICU experience required
-
Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients including stroke, STEMI, and non-STEMI cases
-
Floor-specific orientation consists of 1-2 shifts
-
Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
-
7 major holidays observed and worked as scheduled

First-time travelers considered for this position
