Grounds Maintenance Crew Member - Job Summary
Perform grounds maintenance, landscape maintenance, and cleanups. Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line/string trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking, mulch installation and annual installation. Proper use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment and ergonomic practices.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
Must have a valid driver’s license for 3 years and no more than 3 points.
Must have 1 year of verifiable landscaping experience.
Must follow directions, processes/procedures and possess a high level of communication skills. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Maintenance Experience is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing landscape maintenance and cleanup tasks on client properties
- Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking, mulch installation and annual installation.
- Unloading/loading equipment and materials
- Prep and Clean Trucks & equipment. Report damaged or broken equipment to management immediately.
- Fill trucks, mowers, equipment, and cans with fuel in preparation for the next day (or as necessary)
- Landscape Enhancement Crew - renovations, hardscaping, drainage, cleanouts, bobcat work, etc.
Physical/Mental Demands
Must be able to work with all necessary tools and equipment. The ability to endure frequent extreme temperatures is required. Constant hearing, seeing, and mental awareness is required. Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, grasping, handling of small and large items and equipment, carrying tools, sitting while driving, pulling, pushing, lifting heavier items (over 30 pounds), hand-eye-coordination, gross motor coordination, and manual dexterity is required. Occasional talking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and ladder usage is required.
Typical Work Conditions and Schedule
- Work is full-time, with (4) 10 hour days per week and the possibility of additional days as overtime.
- Start time is 6:30 a.m.
- Crew Members work outdoors, with occasional contact with customers.
- They are exposed to all types of weather conditions.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
