We're looking for a passionate and experienced Production Operator to join our team in Sodus, NY, and help us continue our mission to make the world a better place. A Production Operator is responsible for the operation of a rubber and/or plastics compounding line. The job involves leading line start-ups and product changeovers, maintaining production quality requirements, and completing general line maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Ø Safely operate production equipment with constant attention towards safety, product quality and line efficiency.
Ø Be able to interpret related quality and safety procedures, including production work instructions, material specification sheets and work task hazard assessments.
Ø Routinely conduct quality control testing on finished products and record process conditions.
Ø Lead production line start-ups, shutdowns, and line changeovers.
Ø Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machine/quality related problems through approved process adjustments.
Ø Perform the general maintenance and cleaning of Production equipment.
Ø Identify maintenance issues and submit work order requests to the Maintenance Department.
Ø Complete/contribute to process improvement projects within the Plant.
Ø Maintain the standards of Prism Worldwide with regards to quality, material presentation, contamination control and cleanliness.
Ø Follow all company safety rules, operating procedures, and policies.
Schedule:
Ø 12-hour shifts
Ø Currently Hiring for Night Shift
Ø Rotating Days:
· Week 1: 3 days on, 4 days off
· Week 2: 4 days on, 3 days off
Ø Alternating workweek schedule provides every other long weekend
Competencies:
Ø Previous experience as a production operator is desirable
Ø Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ø Aptitude to work effectively within a small, entrepreneurial team that is in a strong growth phase.
Ø Self-driven, strong sense of urgency, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ø Ability to follow instructions and work independently
