As a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Pharmacy Technician, you'll work directly with patients, providers, and healthcare teams to coordinate specialty medications, navigate insurance processes, and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

This is a full-time, onsite position based out of our Uniontown Pharmacy, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Each morning, you'll report to the Uniontown Pharmacy to prepare and retrieve medications before traveling to one of two Crossroads Treatment Center locations to support patients. Based on the daily schedule and business needs, you'll provide coverage at either:
- Crossroads Treatment Center of Uniontown
- Crossroads Treatment Center of Connellsville
This position requires regular travel using your personal vehicle. To help offset the cost of travel, Altruix provides a $600 monthly vehicle stipend, subject to applicable payroll deductions and Company policy.

What You'll Do
- Report to the Uniontown Pharmacy each morning to retrieve and prepare medications for the day's patient visits.
- Travel daily to an assigned Crossroads Treatment Center location (Uniontown or Connellsville) based on business needs and the assigned schedule.
- Coordinate specialty medication orders from intake through fulfillment.
- Enter prescriptions and maintain accurate patient records.
- Serve as a primary contact for patients, providers, and healthcare facilities.
- Support prior authorizations, insurance verification, and benefits investigations.
- Track and follow up on pending prescriptions and documentation.
- Communicate with providers to resolve prescription questions and ensure timely access to therapy.
- Assist with medication fulfillment, packaging, and labeling in accordance with state regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service through daily interactions with patients, providers, and care teams.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and teammates to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Support inventory, returns, and other pharmacy operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration or active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or medical office setting.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn pharmacy software.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel daily between the pharmacy and assigned Crossroads Treatment Center locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty pharmacy experience.
- Prior authorization or insurance verification experience.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
