Work Schedule:
Monday - Fridays & Occasional Weekends
2nd Shift- 4:00 pm - Finish(Approx. 12am - 3am) ( Hourly Rate $17.00)
Requirements:
1 year of Electrical Pallet Jack Experience.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
This role requires attention to safety, punctuality, and proper handling of cargo. The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting goods (such as poultry products) safely and to and from designated locations. This role ensures timely deliveries while following all DOT regulations, food safety requirements, and company policies.
Job Duties:
● Operate power jacks, forklift and manual lifts. Able to maintain an organized orderly area.
● Maintain all shipping and receiving paperwork, maintain an inventory, notify purchasing of materials needed for processing. Set up plant for daily production needs.
● Load, transport, and deliver products on time.
● Inspect and maintain vehicles before and after trips.
● Follow all DOT and company safety regulations.
● Keep delivery logs and required paperwork.
● Communicate with dispatch and report any issues.
● Must Follow plant GMP, safety, and USDA guidelines to work quickly and safely to meet production requirements.
● Must follow all instructions, directions, and assignments given by your supervisor
Requirements:
● Clean driving record.
● Ability to lift and move product if needed.
● Experience driving in food or refrigerated transport is a plus.
● Good communication and time-management skills.
● Flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, or weekends as required.
Workplace Hazards:
● Hands: Risk of injury from handling products, pallet jacks, shipping materials, and equipment.
● Eyes/Face: Exposure to chemicals, water, dust, or product debris.
● Ears: Exposure to noise from trucks, pallet jacks, and plant operations (>85 dBA, 8-hour TWA).
● Feet: Slippery or wet surfaces, loading docks, and moving equipment.
● Body: Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, prolonged driving, and responsibility for maintaining food safety and product quality.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
