Dishwasher (Full Time) - The Colosseum Restaurant
The Colosseum, a fine dining Italian restaurant in Salem, NH with over 40 years of history, is hiring a full time dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This is a hands on, fast paced role for someone who takes pride in keeping a clean, efficient kitchen running.
Pay: $17 to $18 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full time. This is not a part time or seasonal position. Reliable, consistent availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
What You Will Do:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment by hand and using commercial dishwashing machines
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and stocked throughout each shift
- Sort and stack clean items and return them to their proper stations
- Empty and clean trash and recycling, and assist with breaking down boxes
- Maintain clean floors, sinks, and work surfaces in the dish and kitchen areas
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep and other tasks as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
What We Are Looking For:
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude under pressure
- Someone reliable who shows up on time and ready to work every shift
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy service
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast paced kitchen environment
- Previous dish or kitchen experience is a plus but not required. We will train the right person
- Must be able to work full time T-Sun including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Our business hours are Mon (closed) Tu-Friday (4p-9p) Sat (12p-10p) Sun (1p-8p)
